The comprehensive redevelopment of the site to provide retail, 300 residential units, associated car parking, a transport interchange and a Leisure and Community Centre which included ice rink, multipurpose halls, fitness suite and swimming pools with changing facilities that catered for multi ethnic use of the facilities. All of this was undertaken on an extremely constrained site
