A £220m mixed use regeneration project to transform a drab 1960/70's central area into a vibrant new shopping, markets, leisure and living area. The retail element is anchored by a new Debenhams and provides over 500,000ft² (46,500m²) of new space. There will be a new three storey market, multi-screen cinema, events area, residential block, 1,200 space car park, all within stunning contemporary buildings that are phased in to allow a seamless transition from old to new and uninterrupted day to day trading for the town.
