Institute of Ophthalmology.
The construction of 17,000ft² (1,600m²) of highly specialised laboratories and office spaces in a 5 storey building with basement. Project included a specialist research unit consisting of specialist and standard research laboratory spaces, containment laboratory, offices and support facilities as part of the phased development of the very constrained site with minimal impact on the client's use of the adjacent building and the adjacent internationally recognised specialist hospital and research centre.

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
The creation of additional floor space within the existing listed building and rationalisation of the existing space and facilities to facilitate the department's consolidation onto one site. The project included the excavation and construction within the building of approximately 4,000 ft² (370m²) of new basement accommodation; the construction of approximately 7,000 ft² (650m²) of mezzanine space utilising an innovative stressed timber structural solution; the rationalisation and general refurbishment to the interior; workshops and test equipment spaces; the provision of a purpose built 100 seat lecture theatre.

The Department of Microbiochemical Engineering.
The project comprised the rationalisation and upgrading of an existing basement space, along with the services and facilities provided. The works included the insertion of a new mezzanine floor, substantive structural remediation works, especially in relation to water ingress, the rationalisation and general refurbishment of the interior to provide an interactive media teaching space and the provision of two purpose built, fully contained research laboratories.
