The construction on a constrained site of a new 1,000 seat multi-purpose conference centre, hall and ancillary facilities creating a landmark building in Tonbridge town centre. As the site was on the flood plain, the entire building was raised 1.2m above ground level to clear the 1 in 100 year flood level.
Associated with the development was a new pedestrian link bridge across the river Medway.
